Thoughts from the Chatsworth Primary Hallways

We celebrated our Learning Journey Concert today. This concert was a performance piece by each year level that correlated to the last unit of inquiry for this semester.  It is always a pleasure to see children sharing their learning and especially when they have so much say into how and what they will perform.

Thank you to all who supported us by either chaperoning on the buses for both the practice and performance days, and by attending the performance today.

Have a Happy Holiday to  all of the Chatsworth Community.  Safe travels and a safe return to Singapore to semester 2 in January 2017.  Those families moving on, I wish you all the very best for your onward journey, where that may be. Thank you for making Chatsworth part of your lives.

Thoughts from the Chatsworth Primary Hallways

2 December

Today the Primary School celebrated Christmas in so many ways with a visit from Father Christmas, the Holiday Bazaar, class parties and shared lunches.  The day was so exciting for the children. A special thank you goes to our parent community, the CPG, Mrs. Fong, Santa and our teaching staff for making the day so special. Have a look below at our day.

Perspectives from the PYP Coordinator

2 December

The International Baccalaureate states that action component of the PYP can involve service to fellow students, and to the larger community both inside and outside the school.  Through such service, students are able to grow both personally and socially, developing skills such as cooperation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and creative and critical thinking.*

As you can see in this video below Mr. Rive’s Year Five class wanted to take action to support for Movember which raises awareness of men’s mental health issues.  They made informational posters, held a talent show, sold moustache badges, painted moustaches on students played games and more to raise money and create an awareness.
