Chatsworth is made up of students, parents and staff from over 50 countries. International Day gives us a wonderful way to celebrate that cultural diversity and share food from around the world. Even though our parade was rained out this morning, we still were able to celebrate in grand style. Check out some of the photos from today’s highlights:

Primary Parent Event	Singapore International Student Film Festival Chatsworth is hosting this year’s SISFF festival on the evening of May 5, 2017. Thoughts from the Chatsworth Primary Hallways

In preparation of our International Day on Friday 24th March, we are taking a closer and deeper look at the term of phrase “Third Culture Kids”.  Dr. Ruth Hill Useem, who first coined the term "Third Culture Kids", explains that “A third culture kid is a person who has spent a significant part of his or her developmental years outside their parents’ culture. The third culture kid builds relationships to all the cultures, while not having full ownership in any. Although elements from each culture are assimilated into the third culture kid’s life experience, the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of the same background, other TCKs”. We have invited Dr Sarah Whyte a leading expert here in Singapore on the subject to so that we can learn more about it.  Sarah has run a workshop with our Primary Teachers this week, facilitated a 2 hour Parent Cafe this morning and will return on International Day to work with your Junior classes and the secondary school.

Please join us on Saturday 18 March for our annual Spring Fair as well as on Friday 24th March for our International Day.

More details here. 2017-2018 Calendar Clothing Drive - Whole School Clothing Donation Drive We would like to announce a donation project which aims to collect and provide used or unwanted clothing to the less privileged in Singapore. These clothing or cloth based items, will be given to the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisation. More details here.

Primary Parent Event	School Fair Our School Fair is this weekend on Saturday March 18 from 10am - 2 pm. Any late RSVPs can be added here. A full list of activities can be seen here. We look forward to a great event!! Parent Cafè - Learning through Play (CANCELLED) We will explore the notion of learning through play and the inspirations we gain from the Reggio Emilia approach. We will look at current research, give you the opportunity to see EY classes in action and then reflect on your observations.
