Welcome Back!

With 39 new students entering the Primary School this semester, we are busy in all classrooms. The students returning acted as buddies for our new students helping them get comfortable in our community. Parents in reception or in the hallways were welcoming new parents and making sure everyone found their way.

My week was a bit different as I joined the Y2 team and got an inside view of the classroom again. As I say to everyone I meet, there is nothing more rewarding than watching the day to day progress of children learn. From writing to mathematics to reading and unit of inquiry, our children are eager, curious students who love learning. No matter what activity or inquiry we were engaged in, everyone gave their full participation. I love being a teacher!

In the bigger picture, as I moved around the school at recess and lunch, I was amazed at how easy everyone had slipped back into our routines. It was exciting watching everyone catch up again - lots of hugs all around, and you could hear so many adventures that happened over the break. New students quickly looked like they had been here longer than a day or two as they made friends and were actively a part of all the fun and games.

Chatsworth is a wonderful community and you all make it a wonderful place to be!
